The Mercy Islam Teaches I never get tired of re-blogging this. Non-Muslim friends, THIS is what Islam teaches. Not hatred. According to the Qur’an, this father who could have rightfully demanded the life of his son’s killer will be given special mercy and grace from God, and why? Because he himself showed mercy when it was in his power to do so. Jesus - a prophet of God - spoke as much in one of the Beatitudes, which, since it agrees so perfectly with the Qur’an, is probably something he actually said.

Not only is all of the above true, but it’s also a reality that this man, whoever he is, has been given a magnificent gift. His life with the Qur’an will be like the noonday sun to a man cured of blindness compared to what it was without it.

Anyway, there’s a lesson in this for people who think.
