frompalestinewithlove: After Hamas won elections in 2006, Israel imposed a blockade on the Gaza Strip, sealing off all of its borders. The people of Gaza have been suffering because of this blockade for 5 years now.  The Estelle is the third attempt to defy the 5 year illegal Israeli blockade. The ship is originally from Finland but began its journey from Sweden. There are 17 activists on board, all coming from counties such as Canada, the United States, and Norway.  The ship is now heading its way toward Gaza, while Israeli “Defense” sources are threatening to attack.  For more updates, follow @ShiptoGazaSE, or search #Estelle on twitter.
